Matured in 100% first fill bourbon barrels before a finish of 5 months in Medoc Bordeaux Red Wine Casks bringing wonderful red fruits to this first unpeated Malts Festival Limited Edition. Crushed red berries with floral notes of rose and violet with heather honey and maritime breeze on the nose. The palate opens on a honeyed sweetness with vibrant strawberry and apple, lime citrus and toasted oak vanilla. A wonderfully long finish with warming spice of cinnamon and aniseed.

Glen Scotia Double Cask Rum Finish enjoys the same maturation in first-fill bourbon barrels as Double Cask, with an eight-month finish in Demerara Rum barrels. While the signature notes of caramel and sea spray are still present, the finish adds an exotic dimension of melted sugar, molasses, and tropical fruit notes. The result is an adventurous single malt scotch whisky.

The Icons of Campbeltown series celebrates our Campbeltown Market Cross and the tight-knit community it represents. This limited edition medium-plated 14 year old single malt whisky has been matured exclusively in the finest bourbon barrels before a minimum six month finish in ex-Barolo red wine casks. Decadently smoky with hints of fiery red candied fruits and berries, the finish is long with a dry spicy end note. A subtle Maritime salinity leave no question which distillery this limited edition hails from.

The Glenallachie Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky 2006 Single Cask No. 6609 was distilled 06/19/2006 and bottled in Oct 2021.

The 9-year-old marries single malt finished in casks that previously held four types of premium European red wine: Languedoc, Recioto Della Valpolicella and two undisclosed Premier Cru Classés.

A French term, ‘Cuvée’ is used in the wine sector to reference a blend that typically comprises more than one variety of grape. The Speyside-based distillery has applied the description to whisky “by combining single malt matured in wine casks from multiple wineries.”

After primary maturation in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels, the spirit underwent over 20 months of additional aging in the various wine barriques within the distillery’s on-site warehouses.

The casks were expertly obtained from four fine wineries located in world-renowned regions in France and Italy by distinguished whisky maker, Walker, thanks to his exceptional network of connections with niche producers.

Bottled at 48% ABV, the 2012 Vintage bronze liquid is presented without added colouring and unchill-filtered.

TASTING NOTES

Color: Golden Bronze.

Nose: Bursting with orange blossom, espresso, maraschino cherries and honeysuckle, with hints of candied stone fruits, hazelnuts, lavender and cinnamon.

Taste: Waves of dark chocolate, red currants and burnt coffee beans, followed by crystalised almonds, blackberries and orange zest, with ginger and liquorice on the finish.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Brandied honeycomb, molasses tart, and spiced blood orange, with bursts of cocoa, black winter truffle, and caramelized brown sugar.

Taste: Roch chocolate, warm baking spices, and clementine zest, followed by molasses orchard fruits and crystalized ginger with black cherries and raised butter on the finish.

From the outset of working with the GlenAllachie spirit, Master Blender Billy Walker continually expressed his desire to use our vintage stocks to craft a truly outstanding thirty year old. Presented at cask strength, natural colour, and non-chilled filtered, this annual small-batch release truly showcases GlenAllachie in its form.

Crafted under the expert eye of Billy Walker, a whisky legend with over five decades of experience, this release epitomizes The GlenAllachie’s commitment to cask craftsmanship. Aged in an exquisite selection of six hand-picked casks from 1989, including Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso, and virgin oak, the result is a complex and luxurious whisky. Presented at 48% ABV, it delivers a symphony of rich mocha, spiced caramel, tropical fruits, and dark chocolate truffles.

Encased in an elegant oak box with intricate hand-carved details, this ultra-premium release features a wide-shouldered decanter adorned with gold ink and a solid brass ‘angle’ plaque. The GlenDronach Aged 50 Years has quietly slumbered over five long decades in rare Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, from the Spanish bodegas of Jerez in Andalucía. Personally selected by Master Blender Rachel Barrie, these exquisite casks have been married for a final maturation in a single Pedro Ximénez cask. Only a small number of casks are chosen to reach such a celebrated age, and just 198 bottles will be available worldwide of The GlenDronach Aged 50 Years.

Protected and nurtured in The GlenDronach’s traditional dunnage warehouses for over half a century, this rare liquid has survived floods and extreme Highland winters, as well as being haunted by the legend of a Spanish ghost. This expression tells a story of the rare dedication and mastery of those custodians who have devoted their lives, through highs and lows, to protecting and nurturing this exceptionally rare Single Malt.

Each hand-numbered bottle of The GlenDronach Aged 50 Years is presented in a luxurious, genuine leather case accompanied by an embossed leather booklet detailing the distillery history, tasting notes, and unique craft.

Tasting Notes:

Appearance: Antique mahogany chestnut

Nose: Ripe dark cherry and plum are the preludes to a harmony of rolling stone fruit, gentian, and a plume of smoldering tobacco – lifted by lilting notes of bramble, orange, and cranberry.

Palate: Dense undertones of dark chocolate, tobacco, and cocoa form an exquisite overture of flavor. A perfect counter comes in a crescendo of elegant plum and luxurious black cherry, enrobed in a swath of velvet espresso.

ABV: 43.8%

The Glendronach Cask Bottling 1992 Cask No. 217. Each year our Master Blender specially selects a handful of individual casks from the warehouses at The GlenDronach Distillery, to be bottled as a GlenDronach Cask Bottling. With maturing whiskies dating back as far as 1968, there is an exquisite selection of barrels, hogsheads, puncheons and butts to choose from.

Each Cask Bottling is bottled from a single cask which displays truly remarkable characteristics, the malt whisky contained within having developed exceptionally during the long maturation process.

The GlenDronach Cask Strength Batch 8 is incredibly rich and full-bodied, the result of years of slow maturation in Pedro Ximénez puncheons, quarter casks and Oloroso sherry butts,” Barrie explains. “Casks were individually selected, combined and bottled at natural cask strength to deliver maximum character and depth.
