Introducing Frey Ranch Bottled-in-Bond Straight Rye Whiskey. Made with sustainably grown winter rye raised on the Frey Ranch, this 100% rye whiskey, is smooth enough to sip yet spicy enough to shine in a cocktail.

At Frey Ranch, five generations of know-how goes into every barrel of our Straight Rye Whiskey. on the farm, our slow-grown Winter Rye isn’t only an heirloom, but a point of pride, specifically raised for a new generation of Rye whiskey lovers.

Oak & citrus aromas are met by hints of honey, burnt orange peel and candied orange in a dry, medium intensity. Vanilla and caramel lead way to dried mint, banana chips, candy corn, and dried hay with a long finish of cedar, pepper and treacle. Our mash bill is born from the non-gmo corn, winter cereal rye, winter wheat and two-row barley in our fields just beyond the ranch house porch destined for a distinctively satisfying bourbon.

At Frey Ranch, we’re proud to control every step of our whiskey-making process. Along with growing 100% of the grains that go into our whiskeys, we also malt our grains in our custom-built malt drum, right on the ranch. Malting is the process of steeping. Germinating and drying the grain. Traditionally, malted barley is an ingredient in most whiskeys, but any grain can be malted. We’ve been experimenting with malting all of our grain varieties to bring about unique flavors. It’s with that spirit that we share with you our “Malted Grain Series.”

The Fukano Distillery has been in operation since 1823 and is located in the city of Hitoyoshi, Kumamoto, Japan.
