Cattlemen’s Bourbon from BlackFork Farms Distillery is a single barrel straight bourbon whiskey aged a minimum of two years and bottled at 88 proof. BlackFork has been adding value to agriculture to the region since 1889.

Nestled in the region of Tequila Mexico, we hand select each 100% Weber Blue Agave for harvest. Our attention to detail continues through every step of our small-batch process until finally bestowing our tequila to the sanctum of a custom-made bottle.

The Pursuit United Rye Story

This pursuit is an adventure-seeking bold flavors. Here we honor two states known for their heritage of notable rye whiskeys – Kentucky and Maryland – by using a distinctive blend of three unique rye whiskey mash bills aged no less than three years. The perfect union of these barrels creates an unparalleled experience of both rich and mellow flavors. As always, enjoy this pursuit.

At 85% rye, this whiskey reflects the hard work of the farm it came from. Its bold spice and hints of toasted biscuit up front are balanced by the sweetness of Iowa corn on its finish. At 100 proof, you can taste the complexity from the 4 years the unpredictable Iowa climate imparted on this yearly special release.

For this special Double Barrel release, we poured our straight rye whiskey into second, new American oak barrels to capture the full-bodied flavors of the freshly charred staves. The secondary finishing casks draw out the bold qualities of our unique rye and the rich flavors of Iowa whiskey.

Our straight Rye Whiskey finished in estate port wine casks – first aged in new American oak, then finished in Estate Port wine casks for added complexity. This expression boasts a unique color and flavor of dried cherries and stone fruits, while the familiar vanilla and spice take a supporting role in the overall flavor profile.
