This exceptional individual whisky takes its name from the spectacular sea stack that lies off the coast of Hoy in the Orkneys. We select The Old Man of Hoy only from the single casks of Singel malt whisky distilled close by on the Island of Orkney. Its Orcadian Character is its pedigree.

Blackadder Rawcask Shizuoka Single Malt Japanese Whisky 2023
Selected by Blackadder from a single cask, the whisky in this bottle comes from Shizuoka Distillery – situated in the mountains lying inland from the city of Shizouka, South-West of Tokyo. It has been bottled as Raw Cask, which means that each and every bottle contains its share of the Cask Sediment, as well as natural oils and fats that might otherwise be left behind when filling a cask-strength whisky straight from cask.
This whisky is a true testament to the artistry of Japanese whisky craftsmanship. This particular expression, distilled on the 28th of June 2018 in pot still W, bears the unique imprint of Bourbon barrel No. 740. Patiently nurtured and aged to perfection, it reached its pinnacle of maturity before being carefully bottled in August 2023. Limited to just 223 bottles, each sip unveils the distinct character and rare quality that define this singular creation, making it a cherished addition to any connoisseur’s collection. -

Red Snake is a rare Single Malt Scotch Whisky, with only 253 bottles worldwide. It is bottled from single casks of top-class single malt Scotch whisky, matured in first-fill Bourbon casks. Only the very best casks were selected for this delightfully fruity, sweet single cask malt whisky.

Blackadder Red Snake is the sister to our Black Snake whisky. As with its older brother, Red Snake only comes from top-class, first-fill ex-bourbon casks.
Each Red Snake comes from one single cask and is numbered as such on the front label of this bottle. The number of bottles from each individual cask will vary but will always be of the same top-grade single malt whisky.
Each and every cask is tasted and quality controlled in our warehouse and is only bottled when we consider the time is right to do so. As with all Blackadder whiskies, it has not been chill or otherwise heavily filtered and the flavor has not been altered by the addition of caramel.
