Westland Colere American Single Malt
$179.99The first Edition of Colere marks a monumental step forward for not just Westland but the whiskey industry as a whole. This is the first in what will be an ongoing annual inquiry into unique varieties of barley bred outside the commodity system with flavor first as a goal. Colere Edition 1 is made with the varietal that began it all, Alba (a six-row winter barley) and intentionally matured in only used casks to relegate the oak influence to a supporting role and focus the attention on the grain itself.

Westland Garryana Edition 6

In Edition 6, Garry Oak co-mingles with both Brandy and Sherry casks. The Brandy gives a bright filter to the savory spice of Garry Oak. The Pedro Ximénez, its classic darker fruits with muted sweetness. Both add something distinct while leaving enough space for the Garry Oak to shine.

Westward Whiskey Milestone® is the pinnacle of this effort.
By reimagining Old World winemaking and distilling techniques through the lens of our American Whiskey, Milestone is the direct expression of Verum Factum, our ‘maker’s knowledge’ gleaned over two decades as whiskey makers.
Milestone is raised from whiskey personally drawn by Master Blender Miles Munroe from a twenty-one barrel Solera system created exclusively for this annual offering. Used for centuries by European winemakers, the meticulous Solera method allows us to continuously age and blend some of our oldest and most precious whiskies with rare cask types, creating even more complex flavors in the process.
Each year, Westward draws just a small fraction of the whiskey for the annual Milestone release, replacing it with another unique whiskey from our barrel house. Much like the coveted idea of an ‘Infinity Bottle’, introducing new, exceptional whiskies into the Solera system while continuously blending small amounts of whiskey from one barrel into another creates an always evolving yet infinite palette of deep, complex Westward flavors.
The result of this special approach to whiskey making is that no two Milestone releases will ever be the same. With each release year, our Master Blender captures a set of unique flavors that only exist in the moment and can never be reproduced. This time capsule in a bottle reflects a distinct moment in our story, one that can never be told again.

This year, as we honor our 20th anniversary, we sought to create an unrivaled expression of spice, one that highlights our journey thus far while setting the tone for many iterations to follow. Inspired by a visit to Taiwan and a transformative street food pairing he experienced with each of Westward’s flagship expressions, Master Blender Miles Munroe embarked on a expedition to take our signature spice notes to unparalleled heights by incorporating new, exotic woods to amplify the characteristics from our iconic and innovative cask finishes – including Stout, Pinot Noir, and Rum. The result is a whiskey worthy of the journey, one that strikes a distinct balance between our signature style and previously undiscovered aromas and flavors.

Wheel Horse 2024 Cigar Blend Bourbon
Our limited release Fall 2024 bottling is a 4-5 year Kentucky Straight Bourbon finished in a combination of Port, Cognac, Sherry and Armagnac casks. The whiskey was in finishing barrels for approximately 6-8 months, and was bottled at 101 proof, non-chill filtered.

Wheel Horse Bourbon is crafted and matured at the historic Owensboro Distilling Company in Owensboro, Kentucky.
As the 10th oldest permitted distillery in the state, Owensboro Distilling has a rich history that dates back to the late 1800s. Now, the distillery continues its legacy of making excellent Bourbon under the direction of Master Distiller Jacob Call.
This special selection was distilled from a mash bill of 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley. The Bourbon was distilled in copper stills, aged in new charred oak barrels for four years, then finished in toasted oak barrels. this Spring 2022 release is a micro-batch of several barrels, bottled at barrel proof and without chill filtration.

This Single Barrel Selection was distilled from a mash bill of 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley. The Bourbon was distilled in copper stills, then aged in a hand-selected, 53-gallon, charred oak barrel for four years. Like all of our whiskeys, this Bourbon is bottled without chill-filtration.

Wheel Horse Bourbon was aged between two and four years at Owensboro Distilling, the westernmost distillery along the famed Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Crafted by Master Distiller Jacob Call, a third-generation distiller and seventh-generation Kentuckian, Wheel Horse Bourbon is a Straight Bourbon whiskey made from a mash bill of 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley. This whiskey is produced through the traditional sour mash method, distilled in copper stills, and matured in hand-selected, 53-gallon, charred American oak barrels. It is non-chill filtered and bottled at 101 proof (50.5% ABV).

Wheel Horse Rye
Wheel Horse Rye is the first aged rye to come out of the historic Owensboro Distilling Co. This sour mash whiskey is made from 95% rye and 5% malted barley. It’s distilled in copper stills then matured in hand-selected, 53-gallon, charred American oak barrels for between two and three years. We use a #4 char. Like all of our small batch whiskeys, Wheel Horse Rye is bottled at 101 proof and without chill filtration.
