M is the result of The Macallan’s commitment to craftsmanship and dedication to using the finest natural ingredients and exceptional sherry oak seasoned casks.

This rare and exclusive spirit epitomizes transparency as the quality of whisky glistens in the crystal Lalique decanter, encapsulating our vividly dark spirit. A personification of the rich influence that sherry seasoned oak casks have on the spirit which rests within. Matured in a small hand-selected number of first-fill sherry seasoned oak casks, M showcases The Macallan’s vibrant color.

Nose: Sweet black sherry and Demerara sugar with a sensorial mix of polished oak and leather, softened with hints of indulgent chocolate and vanilla.

Taste: Herbal notes of licorice and tea leaves combined with smooth crème anglaise and chocolate orange with a hint of wood spice.

Finish: Rich dried fruit and decadent dark chocolate.

M Black represents The Macallan’s dedication to Mastery and unwavering trust in its craft. Rare, black ended casks holding peated spirit have been meticulously selected by the Whisky Mastery Team who have continued to push the boundaries of creativity and craftsmanship to create this unique expression.

The spirit matured in the sherry seasoned oak casks has gathered depth and distinction over time and the handcrafted Lalique black crystal decanter reflects the peat smoke within the whisky and the confidence which drives The Macallan as the whisky makers boldly marry classic Macallan notes with peated whisky. A subtly smoky expression, it displays a rich natural color of golden sunrise and is a harmonious balance of The Macallan’s classic character with an unexpected peated note, resulting in a complex single malt to savor.

M Copper is an ode to the Curiously Small Spirit Stills that remain key to crafting The Macallan’s precious spirit to this day. One of the defining features of the distillation process, they represent a pivotal moment in whisky-making history as when most moved to larger, higher production copper stills, The Macallan focused on exceptional quality. Their distinctive shape and size help to concentrate the new make spirit, creating the rich, robust character.

With a natural color of spun gold, M Copper is a vibrant and elegant expression which brings the flavors created in the stills to the fore. It has a buttery, viscous mouth coating and is bursting in fruitiness with a hint of sweet malty flavor. A handcrafted Lalique copper colored crystal decanter represents the stills and reflects the authenticity which drives the brand through its dedication to innovative methods.

The sherry-seasoned oak casks deliver a single malt characterized by flavors of ginger, dark chocolate, and dates.

The Macallan Sherry Oak 30 Year Old reveals the unrivaled commitment to the mastery of wood and spirit for which The Macallan has been known since it was established in 1824. This distinguished single malt is matured for thirty years in sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain. It is these exceptional oak casks that create this luxurious single-malt whisky characterized by its rich flavors of ginger, orange, and wood spice.

The Macallan Amber Meadow has been created in collaboration with Mary and Stella McCartney to celebrate our shared love of the lush and fertile lands of Scotland and the serene nature that lies within it. To mark our deep connection with the land, discarded meadow cuttings have been given new life in this presentation box and bottle labels. Our Whisky Mastery Team has taken inspiration from natural Scottish grasslands and created a single malt aged in both sherry-seasoned oak and bourbon casks, redolent of warm meadows and mature barley field, with a rich, citrus-scented finish.

Rich Cacao’ has been inspired by the exceptional chocolate creations of Jordi Roca, pastry chef of El Celler de Can Roca, and his extraordinary journey to the source of his masterpieces. Reinvigorating and giving a second life to the discarded husks from the cacao pods has led to this innovative new packaging and becomes the inspiration for the whisky within.

Our whisky maker Polly Logan, has created a whisky using a harmonious combination of exquisite sherry seasoned European and American oak casks which deliver a uniquely rich, dark chocolate not, along with honey, dates, vanilla, and cinnamon. Bottled at 44% ABV to create the perfect pairing with rich, fine chocolate.

The Macallan The Harmony Collection Smooth Arabica celebrates the world of coffee and has been inspired by the Ethiopian Arabica coffee bean. The hybrid packaging was created using repurposed and recycled materials including coffee bean husks which would have otherwise been discarded.

The fourth release in the Harmony Collection has been created in collaboration with Cirque du Soleil to tell our oak story in an imaginative, visual, and innovative way.

The whisky, created by The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team, is matured in a combination of first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak casks and refill sherry casks. These have been carefully selected to deliver the classic American oak flavours of vanilla, citrus, and sweet oak, naturally derived from the cask during maturation, with a medium, sweet finish that delicately lingers.

Two brands dedicated to constant innovation, this collaboration is inspired by a shared respect for creativity and reverence for the natural world.

For this release that celebrates our 200 Year Anniversary, we focus on our own area of expertise and mastery which is represented by oak. Oak runs through every facet of The Macallan and our exceptional sherry-seasoned oak casks are the single greatest contributor to the outstanding quality, distinctive aromas, and flavours of our whisky.

The Macallan continuously draws inspiration from nature. The Harmony Collection, Vibrant Oak is a reminder of the importance of both the connection with our natural environment and of preserving it.

This latest Harmony release reflects the influence of sherry-seasoned oak casks to our whisky mastery. Over time, our new make spirit matures in the cask to create a liquid that is reflective of our deep connection with nature, drawing both natural colour and flavour from its interaction with the oak wood.

THE EXPERIENCE

• Colour: Autumnal Leaf
• Nose: Intense vanilla bean accompanied by sweet sherbet and lime zest gives way to fragrant pears nestled in delicate vanilla sponge cake.
• Palate: Creamy vanilla panna cotta, buttery shortbread, lightly toasted coconut with almond brittle, apple, and sweet oak.
• Finish: Medium, sweet with lingering vanilla.

The name Vibrant Oak and the gold colour evoke a sense of energy and liveliness.

From the Cirque du Soleil SPIRIT Experience, two key characters will each bring to life the oak story.

The beautiful illustration features a human figure – Ayla – intricately intertwined within the branches of an American oak tree. This design emphasises the importance of the connection between the natural world and human experience. It conveys the life and wonder that bloom when humans are “In Harmony with nature.”

The design also incorporates peacock feathers which symbolises The Macallan’s natural colour and our peacock character, brought to life through the story of Spirit. The human representation links to Cirque du Soleil human performance and potential.

This release reveres the marvels of nature and the infinite potential of the imagination.

A CAREFUL SELECTION

This release is matured in a combination of first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak casks and refill sherry casks. Notes of intense vanilla bean are accompanied by sweet sherbet and lime zest, giving way to fragrant pears nestled in delicate vanilla sponge cake.

The Macallan crafts each one of our exceptional sherry-seasoned oak casks to our exact specifications, a process that takes approximately six years—a worthwhile investment, given that these casks deliver up to 80 percent of the flavour and 100 percent of the natural colour of our whisky.

PRESENTATION

The Macallan Harmony Collection celebrates the possibilities of repurposing natural materials in our packaging and of creating beauty from our own resources.

Supporting this ethos, oak chippings, a by-product created while making oak casks for The Macallan, are used in the presentation box and the bottle labels. Of great significance to The Macallan, the wood which is fashioned into our Exceptional Oak Casks makes our whisky so special.

The Reach, a rare 81 Years Old single malt, is the oldest whisky ever released by The Macallan, created from a single, sherry seasoned oak cask. Crafted during the Second World War in a period of increasing hardship, The Reach was laid to rest in 1940 before The Macallan was compelled to close its doors for the first time in its history.

The dark, precious whisky is encased in an exquisite decanter created from mouth-blown, hot glass, cradled on a bronze sculpture of three hands. Each hand represents characters in The Macallan’s history and their unique story. One commemorates the Distillery workers of 1940 who crafted the spirit into existence, in challenging times, over eight decades ago. Another is the hand of one-time chairman, Allan Shiach, whose grandfather headed the company when this remarkable spirit was first consigned to its cask. The third is that of today’s Master Whisky Maker, Kirsteen Campbell, who carefully selected the 1940 cask used to create The Reach, deciding that now was the time to share this precious whisky with the world.

Tasting Notes: Its deep auburn hue is the first hint of this remarkable whisky’s astonishing depth. Offering notes of dark chocolate, sweet cinnamon and aromatic peat, leading on to treacle toffee, crystalised ginger and charred pineapple, before giving way to an intensely rich, sweet and smoky finish.

TIME : SPACE Mastery took inspiration from past whisky masters and the variety of different casks styles available to create layers of complexity with incredible depth of aroma, texture and flavour. Housed in a uniquely crafted circular vessel symbolising the circle of life and the ongoing journey from the past to the future, TIME : SPACE Mastery is a testament to The Macallan’s enduring legacy of excellence. TIME : SPACE Mastery integrates everything we have learned on our 200 years long journey directly into the whisky-making process, emphasising the importance of community in crafting a product of this calibre. Our voyage through a spiky red world highlights key ingredients; barley, grapes for sherry seasoning and our exceptional oak casks, culminating in our village, where a community of caretakers assemble these elements into a singular offering.

We have meticulously sourced and filled the most exceptional oak casks throughout our storied history. Our distinctive whisky style is imbued by the craftsmanship of our bespoke sherry seasoned European oak casks. Drawing inspiration from the legacies of past whisky masters and the diverse array of cask styles at our disposal, we craft layers of complexity, creating an incredible depth of aroma, texture and flavour.

The Experience

Colour:
Warm cherry.

Nose:
Sumptuous Medjool dates, sweet baked figs and rich milk chocolate accompanied by delicate hints of honey and tropical character, reminiscent of dried mango and ripe papaya. Encapsulated by complex sweet oak.

Palate:
A real sweetness is evident with sherry-seasoned dried fruits, orange marmalade and honeycomb. Soft spiced notes of ginger and cinnamon develop.

Finish:
Bursts of caramelised pineapple and creamy vanilla linger with the exquisite balance of subtle dark chocolate and coffee.
