Full of rich flavors, this authentic American rye whiskey is a symbol of the timeless history of New Orleans and the legacy of Thomas H. Handy. Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Straight Rye 2021 is powerful, lush, and boldly spicy. Flavors of toffee, fig cake, and candied fruit, followed by mint, cinnamon and clove. The finish ultimately reveals subtle notes of allspice, coconut and nutmeg. Long and warm.

Thomas H. Handy is the uncut and unfiltered straight rye whiskey. Last year’s release earned 97 points and was named in the top 100 spirits by judges at the 2022 Ultimate Spirits Challenge. This year’s Handy was distilled in the spring of 2016; aged in warehouses I, L and M and weighs in at a hearty 130.9 proof, the highest proof for this whiskey since 2012. The flavor profile includes a nose with floral notes, anise, marmalade and meringue, followed by a palate with baking spice, a burst of orange peel and subtle dark chocolate, and a long finish of cinnamon, praline and candied orange.

The Thomas S. Moore Extended-Finish Bourbon line intends to honor Thomas S. Moore, a bourbon pioneer who built the distillery known today as Barton 1792 Distillery. The tall bottles feature imagery that pays homage to the legacy of Moore. Each label displays the image of a racehorse, honoring one of Moore’s earliest whiskey brands, Belle of Nelson, named for the thoroughbred who won the Kentucky Oaks in 1878.
To create this whiskey, Barton 1792’s high-rye recipe bourbon aged for five to six years in new charred oak barrels before filling other casks that previously matured various wines or spirits from around the world. The whiskey then rest for an additional one to four years.

40% 8 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon, 45% TN Straight Bourbon, 15% 2.5 Yr Old KY Straight Bourbon.
This blend of straight bourbons was crafted by Aaron Gillespie himself at the Whiskey House in Nashville, an exclusive invite-only club that houses one of America’s largest collections of bourbon. There, Aaron and a group of bourbon experts tasted through whiskeys from distilleries across the country of various ages and types. They managed to create a blend that not only commemorates the 20th anniversary of “They’re Only Chasing Safety,” but could also hold its own amongst all of the amazing bourbons they were surrounded by in the Whiskey House.

We use the best aged White American Oak staves from the Ozarks in Missouri at the Independent Stave Company. We selected a cooperage to assemble our barrels in Louisville, Kentucky that has 55 years of time-tested coopering techniques. All Three Chord Bourbons are aged in Number 4 Char (Alligator) barrels.
