At our distillery (That’s it on the front of the label), we make whiskey to the uncompromising standards set forth by the Founders that started it all. This rye whiskey is mashed, distilled, aged, and bottled in small batches – at cask strength – in the mountains of West Virginia.

Our home provides many things that make whiskey great: skilled craftspeople, superb natural resources, and the right cadence of seasons for mellow aging. We made this whiskey for you, and we hope you enjoy it.

We love sharing our homemade liquid because we get to let y’all taste what makes our part of the world so special for making great whiskey. This mature wheat whiskey was mashed, fermented, distilled, and aged in the Appalachian climate at our distillery (that’s it on the front of this label). We then further improved the whiskey by resting it in a Vino de Naranja cask from Spain. This finishing adds a surprising meddling of flavors, including notes of cherry, vanilla, cinnamon, and orange cream. Think of the flavor as a Manhattan.

Contradiction is a wheated bourbon distilled and aged in West Virginia and a merchant-bottled bourbon that we carefully source. We are very proud of our knack for bringing you great spirits we hand-make, and excellent spirits we hand-select, and Contradiction is the opportunity to enjoy in a single sip the convergence of those two very different efforts.
