After opening our Rolling Thunder Barrel Works cooperage in 2015, we became fascinated with exploring the impact that different types of wood impressed on the flavor, aroma, and taste of our whiskeys. We created Single Barrel Project as our way to explore that curiosity through finishing Rogue whiskey in unique barrels and uncommon wood varietals, oftentimes in a non-replicable way, and always one barrel at a time Enjoy.

Ron Abuelo XII Años Two Oaks
Ron Abuelo XII Años Two Oaks, Selección Especial is crafted from a blend of aged rums between 8 and 40+ years old, averaging just over 11-years old. The rum was matured in white oak bourbon barrels before finishing in first fill extra-charred American oak barrels. The resulting rum is dark mahogany with a bouquet of light smoke and toasted oak supported by vanilla and nuts, tasting notes suggest. Lightly smoky and velvety in the mouth, Two Oaks has a taste of spice, caramel and roasted coffee beans with hints of coconut.

It has been said the best country music is nothing but “Three Chords And The Truth.” We take a similar approach to crafting Row 94 whiskey – just three natural ingredients: premium grain, purified water, and cultivated yeast. Our handcrafted small batch features a mash bill of 70% Kentucky grown corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted and row barley, aged in new White Oak barrels with a level 4 char that penetrates deep into the staves for greater complexity and character. Distilled and aged for at least four years in Owensboro, Kentucky, our 94-proof bourbon is a tribute to the year I arrived in Nashville and fell in love with the authenticity of bluegrass and country music, its history, and the stories yet to be told.

Majestic in every stride and immortal in his being, the stallion glowed with the warmth of spring. Ice melted under hoof. Grass sprung to life. In this tale of winter’s undoing, the stallion’s rolling gallop powered the stills of Royal Lochnagar, giving this Scotch the spritely freshness of spring.
Golden as the sun, this vivid malt surges with aromas that hint of orange zest and green apple on a mossy base. It rolls across the palate with a rich and creamy-smooth texture, an intense barley-sugar sweetness with a luscious fruity acidity. Water brings up a touch of white grapes, growing smoother still. The lengthy finish is dulcet and bright, like winter’s end.
