This whiskey is the resurrection of one of the oldest brands in the history of Kentucky Bourbon. The story of Old McBrayer began in 1870 when Captain J.H. McBrayer founded a distillery that would soon be purchased by none other than W.H. McBrayer, famed early distiller, and Bourbon industry icon. Known for its superior quality and superb flavor, Old McBrayer was a classic spirit preferred by whiskey connoisseurs of a bygone era.

Today, the McBrayer family honors the legacy he set forth with the revival of Old McBrayer Bourbon. Like the original, it’s been distilled, aged, and Bottled-in-Bond in the heart of the Bluegrass region – the birthplace of the world’s finest quality Bourbon. With each sip, the legacy lives on.

The barrels selected for this small-batch straight bourbon have been meticulously chosen by our head distiller and married to create a smooth, sipping whiskey of unparalleled quality. Each batch is completely unique and comprised of no more than 50 barrels.

This heritage-style straight bourbon is a nod to Old Monroe’s beginnings in 1940 at the Columbia American Distillery on our hometown’s mainstream. While the original distillery site has not produced whiskey in many years, we carry on the tradition of Old Monroe utilizing historically accurate distillation, aging, and blending techniques.

A single year, a single place, in every single drop. In 2012 we laid down rye in our unique Escalator Warehouse V. A decade later we selected the best to be blended and bottled, cask strength and unfiltered. This Kentucky style rye is the result – spice, depth and unmistakable Overholt character.

In 1810, Abraham Overholt began distilling Rye Whiskey in Western Pennsylvania – an area widely considered the birthplace of American Rye. In honor of our 210th Anniversary, we have released a limited quantity of our Straight Rye Whiskey patiently aged in Warehouse “E”. This rare and limited 11 Year Old Overholt is a truly unique spirit worth savoring.

The Pepper Distillery in Lexington, Kentucky was initially built in 1880 by Colonel James E. Pepper. At the time, it was said to be the largest and most technologically advanced distillery in the nation. It was there that Col. Pepper produced his famous high-grade whiskey, of which he was a flamboyant promoter. Indeed, legend has it that the Old Fashioned cocktail was invented in his honor, which he subsequently introduced to the world during his frequent stays in New York City. The distillery operated until 1967, when both it and the brand were abandoned for over 50 years. After a decade of historical research and renovation, the brand was relaunched and the distillery was rebuilt – filling its first barrel in 2017.

The barrels selected for our Old Pepper label were carefully chosen from our finest stocks and hand bottled at the historic distillery. Some were carefully selected from other distilleries to help us relaunch the brand while our own stock ages. For this limited bottling, we are proud to offer a fine selection from one of those other distilleries of a 10-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon, bottled straight from the barrel, uncut and unfiltered.

Pepper, an instrumental advocate for the passage of the B.i.B Act of 1897, which assured consumers of the standard of the whisky in the bottle. In fact, the B.i.B. tax stamp seal across the cork of bottles against tampering. The first distiller in Kentucky to bottle his whiskey at the distillery, Pepper’s trademark “signature strip label” was a guarantee of the quality within the bottle.

For this special bottling, we have taken a fine, straight bourbon and given it a secondary finish in heavily toasted barrels made from staves of the Finest Kentucky Oak. Unlike the average whiskey barrel, which has its staves air-seasoned for six months prior to assembly, the staves for these barrels were air-seasoned for 18-24 months. This overall process results in more flavor being released in the oak, which in turn is imparted into the already matured whiskey, creating a full-bodied and complex whiskey bottled straight from the barrel – uncut and unfiltered.

Old Pepper’s Single Barrel series consists of their very best barrels of rye whiskey. The second round of maturation takes place in heavily toasted Kentucky oak barrels, which results in a rich and complex spirit that is bottled at 110 proof.

Malted barley has always been a staple and flavorful ingredient in the production of whiskey at the Pepper Distillery. Fermented, distilled, and bottled in very small batches, we are proud to offer a singular expression of this complex grain, one that we think the Colonel himself would be proud of. CHRISTMAS SPIRIT

This festive whiskey is an homage to San Francisco brewing and a celebration of pioneering spirits. Our distillers started with an iconic San Francisco Christmas spiced ale from 2011 and distilled it twice in copper pot stills before aging the spirit for over 12 years in once used Old Potrero straight rye whiskey barrels. This spirit of Christmas past is a whiskey offering an evolving bouquet of orange, chocolate, and vanilla balancing flavors of roasted barley, sweet cinnamon, and spiced berries.
