Octomore 15.1 Limited Edition
Peated to 108.2 PPM and distilled from 100% Scottish barley, in a combination of bourbon barrels and re-charred ex-bourbon casks. Demonstrating refined strength of character, balancing smooth vanilla custard and sweet charred oak with heady peat smoke.
15.1 The Control
The backbone of each Octomore series, the 15.1 is the necessary comparison from which the other expressions oscillate.
Laying bare the profound influence of high intensity peat smoke, the spirit has matured in a combination of first-fill bourbon barrels and re-charred ex bourbon casks, mindfully extracting as much character from the wood as possible. The result is a raw and uncompromising single malt whisky which demonstrates Octomore’s refined strength of character, balancing smooth vanilla custard and sweet charred oak with heady peat smoke.
〝The first expression in our 15th annual series, this is an Octomore that is distinctive with its sleek, elegant style and extraordinary strength of character.
Earthy peat smoke is beautifully balanced with sweet, charred oak, resulting in an unforgettable dram.〞
TASTING NOTES

A refreshing medley of mango, banana and apricot jam cuts through the heady peat, beautifully rounded with vanilla custard and toffee. Okfuskee Whiskey By James Robert Webb
Halfway between the Deep Fork and the Buckeye Creek, amongst the briar thickest and the blackjack trees, there’s a rusted tin roof shack where a blacksmith forge blown clouds of smoke out back.
It’s the perfect cover for a moonershiner’s still hidden below the floor.
Okfuskee Whiskey pairs perfectly with recalling Prohibition days, Oklahoma bootleggers and a speakeasy brand of civil disobedience that made America what it is today.
Enjoy this corn whiskey neat or in your favorite cocktail.
