Michter’s 20 Year Old 2022 Edition
While we regularly sample all our Michter’s barrels to see how our whiskey is aging, we pay even extra special attention to our barrels once they are over 17 years old. At Michter’s we consider 17 to 20 years the “Fork In The Road Point” when certain barrels of whiskey can achieve an extraordinary level of quality. It is these particular barrels that our Master Distiller Dan McKee selects for our very limited bottling of Michter’s 20 Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon.

Midleton Dair Ghaelach Kylebeg Wood
Dair Ghaelach is a Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey from Midleton Distillery. This whiskey was matured initially in American Oak Bourbon barrels and finished in virgin native Irish Oak Hogshead casks. Harvested from Kylebeg Wood near Stradbally in Co. Laois, the native oak has interacted with the maturing whiskey to impart a layered medley of orchard fruits and honeycomb. Bottled at 56.2% ABV, 112.4 Proof.
Nose: Fragrant woodland spices with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg to the fore accompanied by aromatic oils and earthy pot still notes. Delicate hints of nectarine develop to create a zesty fruit note with dustings of white pepper. Additional aromas of dairy fudge and vanilla further accentuate the sweet nature of the whiskey.
Taste: Fortified by the Irish Oak, the pot still spices lead with a heightened intensity thanks to the rich wood tannins before subsiding to reveal velvety tones of caramel with sweet stewed apple and touches of orange peel. Dark chocolate with subtle notes of honeycomb and vanilla weave amongst the spices.
Finish: Delightfully long finish with the fruits and spices slowly fading, allowing the Irish Oak to linger until the very end.

Midleton Very Rare Dair Ghaelach Kilranelagh Wood
Introducing the fifth chapter of the Midleton Very Rare Dair Ghaelach series—Midleton Very Rare Dair Ghaelach Kilranelagh Wood. Once again, the rarity of Midleton Very Rare meets the luxury of Irish oak to bring you an exceptional offering from the pinnacle of Irish whiskey.
This release takes us to Kilranelagh Estate near Baltinglass, County Wicklow. Situated amid rolling hills and picturesque features, the native Irish woodland on the estate has been managed carefully and in tune with nature by one family, the Westerholt for many years. When their great Irish oak had reached the end of their life cycle and were ready to be felled so the new oak could grow in their place, they knew they wanted their legacy to live on—and Midleton Very Rare Master Distiller Kevin O’Gorman knew that he had the perfect whiskey which would bring new life to these relics of a time gone by through finishing in this Irish oak.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Forest notes of fresh pine accompanied by floral honey and ground pepper at first, while sweet and tropical fruits can be detected amongst the herbal green tea and freshly mown hay. The use of the native Irish oak lends itself to creating distinctive aromas of smoked almonds with sweet vanilla and cinnamon that are complimented by the pot still savoury spices.
Taste
Robust and lively at first with notes of dried chilli flakes and red bell peppers which quickly soften, allowing notes of candied orange and crisp red apple to shine through. The oak continues to deliver sweet vanilla and cinnamon spice throughout, while the pot still spices add a hearty and full-bodied nature to this complex and intricate whiskey.
Finish
Wonderfully long finish which sees the pot still spices and oak linger, almost effortlessly, for an age.

Milam & Greene The Castle Hill Series Batch 1: 13 Year Old
The Castle Hill Series Batch 1 is the inaugural release of our limited edition series that celebrates the art of blending vintage casks. The series is named for the historic Texas Military Institute, also known as “The Castle,” which overlooks the Capitol Building in Austin, Texas. Our CEO, master blender, and whiskey expert, Heather Greene created this first batch of this limited edition in her blending lab inside the Castle during the quiet months of 2020. The Castle Hill Series Batch 1 showcases Greene’s cask selection and blending skills. Only twenty barrels, each aged at least 13 years, were mingled to create this stunning whiskey, making it the most limited of the distillery’s boutique whiskeys.
The Milam & Greene Castle Hill Series Batch 1 declares its age with a deep amber color. Its complexity is immediately apparent with scents of vanilla, almond, citrus, chocolate, oak, and tobacco. Bottled at barrel proof 108.5 (54.25 ABV), the whiskey is an authoritative expression of bourbon, with a backbone of spice and tannins. It is intricate on the palate with characteristic bourbon sweetness, finishing with a lingering rush of warm spice.
The Castle Hill Series Batch 1 is available for a suggested retail price of $119.99 at select retailers. This whiskey is extremely limited.
