A complex bouquet of sweet corn, vanilla, blackberries, and crushed pepper swirl before being balanced out by notes of caramel, spicy clove, and dry oak. In the pursuit of intense and original flavors, our team set out to create a new generation of heirloom corn. The early growing years were curated by our team, with only the finest kernels selected for eventual growth in the fields. Years later, that corn – proprietary to Widow Jane – was harvested, driven to Red Hook and mashed, fermented & distilled, and placed into new, charred American oak barrels. The wait was a test of endurance, but the payoff? Exquisite. Because when you start with the finest raw materials, the result is extraordinary bourbon.

Baby Jane is a bourbon whiskey made from our own unique heirloom corn, “Baby Jane.” This unique corn has depth, sweetness and creamy-spiciness that makes Baby Jane Bourbon truly different. Distilled by Widow Jane Distillery in Red Hook, Brooklyn and in Kentucky. True small batch bourbon; hand-assembled in Brooklyn, blended only a few barrels at a time. Non-chill filtered and proofed with our own mineral water from the legendary Rosendale mines of New York.

A blended bourbon requires that at least 51% of the blend be straight bourbon. Enjoy! Straight bourbon aged 8 years, straight rye aged 6 years, light whiskey aged 14 years.

Backbone “Prime” is a tribute to batch 1 of Backbone “Uncut”, our first release of barrel-strength bourbon. That batch was rich and full with less barrel influence “Prime” is a combination of different aged bourbons that are blended at a high proof to provide consistency of flavor.

The proof of Prime stands tall in tribute to the extra flavor found in higher proof offerings. It was created for the serious bourbon drinker, but we believe it will also appeal to adventurous newcomers to the great world of American craft spirits.

Country star Randy Rogers and co-founders Eric Chase, Cary Schindler, Ash Wineinger, Michael Devers along with spirits-industry veteran Steve Luttmann, are excited to announce the launch of their new spirits brand, Bahnbrëcker, based in New Braunfels, TX. Bahnbrëcker will enter the marketplace with Slow River Blend, the first-ever Hefeweizen-style whiskey.

Bahnbrëcker, derived from ‘trailblazer’ in German, is a nod to the company’s hometown of New Braunfels, TX, and to the spirit of ingenuity found in the early pioneers of Texas. Slow River Blend is handcrafted from Texas and Midwestern wheat macerated with lemon peel and clove. The notes of lemon, clove, caramel, and vanilla are reminiscent of a Hefeweizen-style beer. This is an unpretentious, easy-drinking whiskey with a smooth finish. Bahnbrëcker is a true craft spirit made with only real ingredients and is completely “WONF-free” (i.e. no “With Other Natural Flavors”).
