Hibiki Japanese Harmony Harrods 175th Anniversary Edition
The House of Suntory is proud to present this special edition Hibiki to honor and celebrate Harrods’ 175th Anniversary. The paragon of whisky toasts the paragon of stores, celebrating our shared appreciation of treasures.
For The House of Suntory, Hibiki has always been a precious blend of whisky treasures. Numerous malt and grain whiskies are carefully selected from Suntory’s globally acclaimed Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita distilleries. These whiskies are meticulously blended to create a sense of unity, unveiling a full orchestra of flavors and aromas.
For 175 years, Harrods has uniquely been the home to a world of possibilities and myriad treasures from around the globe. The London store has a legacy of curating the finest things with unparalleled creative flair, celebrating the exclusive, the elevated, and the exquisite. Both of our founders were visionaries who understood the true value of treasure—how it stimulates, delights, and amazes. Shinjiro Torii brought whisky home to inspire the Japanese, then enthusiastically shared his Japanese whisky with the world. Charles Henry Harrod brought the world to his London store, creating a place where the extraordinary and the unexpected could be tasted, seen, and felt. Today, Harrods is still a place to discover treasures from across the globe.
In keeping with this theme, the specially created artwork for this celebratory Hibiki features selected stylistic motifs inspired by the prestigious heritage of Harrods. The treasure hunter’s eye will find the peacock—a majestic bird that has adorned the walls of the historic Harrods Food Halls since the 1900s—the tea leaf, reflecting Harrods’ opening in 1849 as a humble tea merchant on Brompton Road, Knightsbridge, and the Harrods motto, ‘Omnia Omnibus Unique,’ translating from Latin as ‘All Things For All People Everywhere,’ which is proudly carved into the terracotta facade of the iconic London store.
A new motif is also there to discover: a depiction of a Tabane Noshi, a symbolic celebratory gift that originates from the centuries-old Japanese tradition of presenting dried abalone strips, representing longevity and rarity. This is fitting for this moment marking 175 years of Harrods.

High Rock Vodka by Dale Earnhardt Jr.
High Rock is a premium, handcrafted vodka co-created by Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Amy Earnhardt in collaboration with Sugarlands Distilling Company. The partnership between Dale, Amy and Sugarlands was born from mutual values, including a shared commitment to excellence, an emphasis on integrity and the importance of family.
Beginning with a base of 100% corn and crisp, clean water from the Great Smoky Mountains, High Rock Vodka is distilled seven times then triple filtered using the Lincoln County Process. Made famous by Tennessee whiskeys, the Lincoln County Process uses sugar maple charcoal to remove any impurities. The result is premium vodka that is undeniably smooth and pure.
88 proof. Anyone that’s followed Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s career on the race track knows the significance of 88. Some of the biggest moments of Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s career – including a Daytona 500 win – came while piloting the No. 88 car. Dale’s grandfather, Ralph, also drove the No. 88, making it even more significant for the Earnhardt family.

High West 14 Years Old Barrel Select Light Whiskey
At High West, we believe education leads to appreciation so we’d like to shed some light on a rarely discussed type of whiskey… “light whiskey.” Not to be confused with lower calories or an Edison light bulb, “light” denotes a grain spirit distilled between 80-95% alcohol by volume (ABV) – it’s “lighter” than a straight whiskey (which is distilled to <80% ABV) but “heavier” than neutral grain spirits (what is called NGS and makes vodka) which must be distilled > 95%. However, most light whiskey is distilled to 94.5 ABV so it’s almost NGS! Distilling that high removes almost all the congeners, the chemicals other than ethanol that whiskey lovers call “flavor.” Light whiskey isn’t common in the U.S. because we prefer our “heavier” straight whiskeys.
However, light whiskey has an important role to play in the world of whiskey. It is the “dilutant” in about 95% of the world’s blended whiskeys. In the U.K., what they call grain whiskey is more or less the same thing as light whiskey. It gets blended with heavier malt whiskey to make scotch. In North America, light whiskey gets blended with heavier straight whiskey to make blended Canadian (about 95+% of all Canadian whiskey) as well as most American blended whiskeys that are not blended straight Whiskeys.
We were lucky to find 100 barrels of light whiskey produced from corn and aged in 2nd fill barrels. That time in wood had an amazing effect on the “light” spirit, imparting incredible vanilla and white chocolate notes. This is a rare and beautiful spirit that’s not likely to ever be made again for a long time.
