Glenglassaugh 46 Year Old Bourbon Barrel Cask
Glenglassaugh, a hidden Highland gem in Scotland, lay dormant for over 20 years before it was reawakened in 2008. One of its rarest and oldest expressions is the highly complex Single Malt Scotch distilled in 1975.
Master Blender Rachel Barrie meticulously hand-selected a single bourbon cask to mature this rare whisky for 46 years, resulting in a truly exceptional drink. Every bottle is individually hand-numbered to reflect its rarity and sealed with wax to preserve its character.
Taking inspiration from its coastal location on the Highland coast of Scotland, Glenglassaugh 46 is a whisky shaped by both land and sea, with notes of tropical and summer fruits carried on an ocean breeze. Bottled at 41.7% ABV, it is non-chill filtered and naturally colored, preserving its true flavors. Each bottle is also sealed with wax and numbered by hand to reflect its unique rarity.

Glenglassaugh Serpentine Coastal Cask Collection 48 Year Old
“The legacy of our most sought after casks date back to the 1970s when these precious liquids were first laid down, patiently harnessing rich natural colour and sublime character, naturally forming the apex of our single malt whisky.
“It is extremely rare to find casks which have been left to mature in coastal locations for such a long period of time and our warehouses, perched on cliffs overlooking Sandend Bay, have acted as the custodians of this old and rare liquid for over five decades. These casks give a unique insight into the nature of whisky making at the distillery before it was closed and capture a moment in time like few other expressions can.” RACHEL BARRIE — MASTER BLENDER
