Peg Whisky Blended Scotch Whisky
First up was the Blended Scotch Whisky by Peg. I’m not always too crazy about blended Scotch Whiskies if I’m honest. I’ve never been too impressed with them, or at least I’d never choose to drink one over a single malt. That being said, this blended dram from Peg definitely got me thinking. It was a very warm & smooth drop, a hint of orange, toffee, malt and a little spice. With its soft and sweet finish, it did in fact leave me wanting more. So hats off to you on this one Peg.

Peg Whisky Small Batch Exclusive Series 1
Thursday night is bath night. I’m talking candles, bath salts, spa music and a wee dram for company. This Thursday I was definitely in good company. This small batch exclusive from Peg Whisky was a real treat. First impression – it took me by surprise! Not sure if that was to do with the fact my bath was a thousand degrees and I was feeling a little fragile, but this dram sure got my attention!
Toffee apple and orange spice on the nose, with a hint of cream. A mouth full of malty vanilla, with toffee notes. An oaky and crisp finish. Very approachable. Very satisfying.

Peg Whisky Limited Edition No. I
Last, but definitely not least was the Limited Edition No.1 Whisky from Peg. This was a delightful drop. It was thick & smooth, with honey, spice and cinnamon notes – a real winter warmer! A long finish of sugar malt. Quite a complex taste to be honest, not your everyday whisky.
I could definitely imagine this being a perfect dram on a cold winters day, sipping it slow whilst watching a classic Western movie, like Tombstone… “I’m your Huckleberry.”
